This wonderful rock we call Earth has a lot to offer; sadly this is often overlooked by our hectic and timetabled lifestyles.
I love to escape the constraints of my busy lifestyle whenever possible. To explore the new, and capture the best of nature and mankind. You will rarely catch me without my camera.
I first picked up a camera (belonging to my Father) when I was 8, A Minolta. As I understood it back then all I had to do was push the button at the top, and the frame was captured on a photo film. My father would disappear once the film was full and re-appear with a selection of 6x4 pictures of what I had seen.
Since then I have not looked back. Come every opportunity I would be behind the camera. When going on family holidays it was wonderful to be able to capture moments. By 2013 I was certain i wanted to take my hobby further, and invested in my first DSLR. A canon 70D.
Born from a dedication to preserving the raw beauty captured through the lens, "Through My Lens UK" endeavours to share imagery, maintaining its authenticity through minimal editing.
With the evolution of camera technology and post processing software, we now possess the capability to capture the world in its finest moments and enhance them to seemingly surreal levels.
What you witness on "Through My Lens UK" are depictions of the world around me, untouched or minimal editing, reflecting the world around us in its purest form.
Photography serves as a magnificent outlet for individual creativity, immortalising fleeting moments that may otherwise slip away unnoticed.
